The Second Grade Artists have just learned about Michelangelo, the famous painter, and sculptor. We learned that it took him 4 years to paint the ceiling of the Sistene Chapel! So, we decided to take our drawings about pattern and visual rhythm to a whole new level! UNDER OUR TABLES, TAPED TO THE BOTTOMS! One student said to me during our work time..."WOW, I can feel Michelangelo's pain! We have only been doing this for 10 minutes! Can you imagine 4 years?" Right on.
